Friendly service, excellent breakfast spread. For shots visit ye olde kings head, nestled within 10 minutes' walk of the hotel. Proximity to Stane Street. Great base for exploring Epsom.

The attitude of the staff is excellent. The location is not easy to find but then it is secluded but within easy reach of Epsom Downs and racecourse. The breakfast is awesome. I liked the way you could buy quality wines with your meal by the glass, small carafe, 500ml carafe or bottle. Would definitely go back and would look foreward to doing so.
Not easy to find. Watch for the signpost on the bend before the school.

Excellent facilities, very comfortable and greta location for Business meetings in South London, with very easy access to London City (train every 15 mins). Didn't stay for the Racing, but would be an excellent location for visitors to Epsom races.

Quiet Location
The so called double room is an absolute joke. The double room is the size of a conventional single room with a small double bed. In the summer it is hot and stuffy and unbearable. Left at 5am as we could not put up with the heat and lack of air any longer.

The hotel had beautiful furnishings, but a few things let it down. The shower was poor for a 4star hotel. The head needs cleaning out as water did not come out evenly. The bed was hard and not comfortable. The hotel needs some signs to direct guests inside, E.g to stairs and down stairs signs for restaurant to save guests going to reception.

The receptionist.
Very expensive for a mediocre hotel. There is no food available after 10pm. Not even a sandwich. We were told the bar was closed at 10.00 in spite of there being a wedding party and an anniversary party in full swing. Apart from the receptionist the staff are indifferent. It's a small hotel so was very busy with party guests and the reception area was packed with them so there was nowhere to sit and have a drink. We paid £135 for an OK room with twin single, not very comfortable beds.

Front of house - quaint with character reception rooms and bar, not you're run of the mill chain which was quite nice.
Mattress was hard, difficult to get comfortable on. Shower pressure poor and took ages to get hot despite having what sounded like a pump. Toilet bowl not very clean, towels smelt slightly vinegary and damp although room overall okay .

The staff were very helpful and charming: in particular Lydia, the receptionist when I arrived, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was of a high standard. In general, the location and character of the Hotel are superb.
WI-fi access charged separately.

Friendly staff without being intrusive. More comfortable and stylish compared to budget chains for a modest additional cost.
Good selection at breakfast, although cooked breakfast a little too light for a hearty appetitie

Lovely location, very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with a good range of choices. Nice views.
There was no bar as such and thought £10 for a glass of wine was very expensive. Shower took a long time to heat up and was very weak.
